Nov 2!

We voted! Did you?

It is also that time of the year to get flu shots, (at least in SD this is the best time to get them as the flu hits here like clock work Feb/mar so Nov gives the shot it best chance at protecting you) Addy and Doug got there's today. Addy did not like it one bit! (although she loved the yellow chair in the waiting room) Doug was a trooper :) I got mine a few weeks ago, due to being pregnant it changes a few factors in the best time to get one. But hopefully we won't have any flu bugs in our home this year!

I don't normally wish the days away, but I really can't wait for today to be over, the politics have been really dirty here this election, and I am so tired of hearing them, so,  Here's to tomorrow, and hoping that we have a smoke free ban passed in SD, and elected officials that will make good choices! Maybe that is asking too much?

More Halloween Fun!

We did get to enjoy the rest of the week for the most part, This is Addy ready to head to the Library for Halloween stories and trick or treating!

We had one day that we stayed home, the wind was SO TERRIBLE we just couldn't go out, we missed the Halloween play group, but in it's place Addy tried to figure out how to take her bed apart instead....LOL She is so funny, you can totally see the mischievous smirk, of what? I'm not doing anything.. When seconds before I caught her trying to take the exposed screw  (andby exposed I just mean you can see it if you look for it) out of the bed... Funny Girl!

We also made it to Ihop for the free Scary Pancake! It was Really BIG, and you got to decorate it yourself, Addy loved that!

Addy and Daddy's finished project!

One of the Developments Doug designs for, really he does almost all of their design work was having a Halloween party and invited us to come join the festivities, there was ghost bowling, pin the nose on the pumpkin, Bingo, musical chairs, food, goodies and jumping thing. We had such a good time and  mad out with tons of goodies and treats.

Doug and Addy in the jumper, The first time she hated it, but the second time she didn't want to leave!

We had a nice day of weather, so we wanted to take advantage of the good weather while we can, we had a great time at the park, we always do!

Daddy made dinner, it was so festive, Pumpkin and Ghost biscuits even.

We really had a busy week, and got good use out of all our Halloween stuff, especially Addy's costume!  Here she is ready to go out to the ward trunk or treat, she did quite well, and has already figured out the cute factor in getting others to give her what she wants, people were opening candy for her left and right, I have no idea how much she ate that night! She says what sounds like Trick or Treat and Happy Halloween, but only at home, she seems to have stage fright once we leave, maybe next year she will have it perfected.

Here is her door of shame, all of her projects she worked on this week, we would put them on the fridge but it is full of her homework for Speech.

A couple weeks ago the Speech Therapist had Addy bead a bracelet, when she pulled it out, I thought, Oh my this will be interesting, but to my surprise she did great with it and LOVED doing it, now she asks for beads regularly and always wants to do more, so we did a Halloween one the other day, she has really great fine motor skills, she did the second bracelet all by herself I just gave her the stuff to do it and tied it at the end. Amazing!

Halloween finally came, we had so much fun enjoying it all week I am kind of sad to see it go. Sunday was a pretty normal day for us, Addy wore a black shirt and jumper with her Halloween bows and socks to keep things festive, and in nursery they made "witchy helping hands" So cute! Happy Halloween! And now that it is over, Today is the day to Break out the Christmas Music! Happy Nov 1st! I love this time of year!
