Let the Games Begin...
I always wonder what our kids are learning from us. There are some actions or things Addy will do that it is clear who she has learned it from, there are still some things she says that when she says them it sounds just like the SLP in RC. Or other times I know I am saying UM way too much because she is too. I think one of the best indicators of what they are learning is the pretend playing they come up with on their own. We must be pushing the Church thing right now, because for the past week or so, that has been the game of choice. It is so ADORABLE! Addy sits everyone in a row, hands out books to each of us to sing from, we sing she conducts or plays the piano if one is available, then we pray, she speaks, we sing, we pray, the cycle continues until we get to go to nursery and have fun. Often we are scolded for not keeping our arms folded long enough, or being too loud (when we aren't even talking) There is a lot of shushing, and even more teaching appropriate arm folding. Oh Addy we do love you and your little games...
More Sizzlin Summer Randoms
Again more randoms from my phone, so I apologize about the quality. Jim loves swings and the jumper, however Sister loved pushing him in the jumper even more then we anticipated, so for awhile we only let him use it when she was napping, but finally had to put it away for a bit for his safety, oh how he loves it though.
Let me OUT! He is always asking to go out and play...
Growth spurt, everyone tells us our kids will eventually slow down, but I am having some serious doubts as to when that might happen, they are always proceeded by the same "tells" after which I spend the day cleaning out the closets to purge the clothes that no longer are appropriate. In this picture Addy is 32 months wearing a size 5-6 shirt and size 6 Shorts, she can still wear some 4t- 5t stuff it just depends on the make. Jim is 8 months in the picture and wearing a solid 9 month clothes, we took out all the 6 month stuff as it just doesn't work... Grow Grow Grow!
Rise and Shine! Addy's new thing is to read stories with us in the morning until Jim wakes up then she likes to crawl in the crib with him, she needs help getting in but not out.
Take me out to the Ball Game...Our First family Ball Game
Addy was the biggest fan!
POOR Jimmy! I don't feel too bad for him he has on more then one occasion brought the skirt to me, most of the time he just pulls it around the house behind him, but this particular day Sister decided to dress him
Good job getting his shirt off sister
The shoe obsession still, I have no idea what it is with my kids and licking the bottom of shoes!
This picture is super crummy, but it was my proof that our little Jimmy is a climber, he now does all the stairs by himself, of course Mom feels the need to be very close behind
Hidden Treasures When we moved we found stashes of treasures Addy had made in various places in our home, apparently Jim is now on to her hiding treats for later, He was playing in the toy room with the little fake kitchen when I noticed his face and hands were red, the toys don't do that, he had found a stash of Sisters licorice. NICE, at least it wasn't rotten cheese or something
Sleep, look close, what a good Dad, he was put to bed with the full routine including a lolly...
