Our James is 18 months!!!! I can't believe it. I feel like time has just flown, and yet it is hard to think of what things were like without him, like he has always been. He is one busy boy, and all boy at that. He loves life, and everything about it. Above is his first day in nursery, I feel bad for the nursery leader, I am sure she did not see that coming, he looks so sweet, and can be so sweet, but he can also be just down and out wild! He loves nursery, although he does usually come home looking a bit rough, missing shoes, a sock, and tie? ehhh the cutest part is him trying to tell us what he learned, he is so smart, and has such a vocab on him. He loves animals, birds and dogs are his favorites, copper (Doug's brothers dog) was so patient with him as he dodded all his love on him. When dogs are unkind to him, and yippy or barky, he just barks back, it is quite funny to watch.
His next true love besides Mom of course is water, he loves taking baths, showers, swimming, going down the waterslides, the sprinklers, you name it he loves it water wise
I love sleeping kids, he doesn't sleep great, but I am thankful for the sleep he does get
This is him playing hide and seek with me in the boxes while we unpacked, he is seriously just fun, always fun, okay except when he is sick and still wants to run puking all over that doesn't work so great but otherwise fun! We have been working with him on obeying and being a little less free spirited, which sometimes one can tell we have made progress and other times, I just cringe at the site at hand wondering where on EARTH he came up with such ideas. Chase is one of his favorite games, he will run and run and run like it is no ones business.
He is done with the lolly and very nearly done with the bottle down to one a day, which we have kept only because he dropped too much weight too quickly when we started cutting the bottles out. He is 50percentile across the board for his official weight, height and head circumference at his 18 month check in, and just one healthy kid, he does still struggle with reflux, he is such a puker, which is probably the only thing I don't just adore about this kid.... His new thing is to take my face in his hands and bring it very close to his and say love you, then he runs away and says get me! He loves to jump, he adores going to gymnastics with dad, he thinks he is one of the big kids at everything we do, and often we have to persuade him to play with the young ones he calls kids his age and older babies, which he also adores and always wants to hold others babies? His laugh is so contagious as is his smile, he has a waggle in his run that melts my heart. He wears me out daily, but how I love him.... Happy 18 months my handsome (sorry the pictures loaded all cockeyed, I don't know what the problem is)
