Happy 9 months James!

Yesterday was Jimmy's big 9 month birthday! How time flies! We took him in for his check up and he is just doing so good! He is in the 80% for both height and weight and his head is in the 60's. So he measured in at 29 inches, and 21 pounds. He was all about the nurse but didn't like the Dr much, which is the exact opposite of our little lady, it cracked me up.
These pictures are actually 3 weeks old, so for my records, he started walking with push toys just a week after he hit 8 months old,(I took some 9 month pictures but need to upload them) I thought Doug was being funny when he told me James was walking with the push toys, but sure enough he really was. We are still working on steering and the walls, they just seem to get in the way! James has 3 teeth with it looks like 3 more trying to cut, he is a bit irritable right now, but I don't blame him. He thinks he is two not a baby, he has little interest in eating baby food but prefers whatever we are eating and Sister is more then willing to help with that. He frequently cries out in the middle of the night, which means our sleeping through the night was a short stint of 2 months or so, hopefully once these teeth are in, he will be able to rest better. He loves to be in the action, loves the vacuum, water and doing whatever Addy is doing.  He is super strong and loves to climb and hang from things (again a new thing for us, it is really like being first time parents all over again because he is just so different from Addy) He loves to laugh and is super ticklish. His laugh brightens my day, I can't help but giggle when I hear it. He has the same look his dad has when he is taking buildings apart in his mind, Jim stares at things and I wonder if he is doing the same thing. His favorite things to do are the things he knows he is not suppose to, like play in my toy room, or in the bathroom (still) His favorite foods are fruits and bread of any kind in any form. And he prefers drinking from a straw over any other method of drinking.  He can often be found bouncing himself on the trampoline, playing in the play kitchen, and this just in opening my cupboards and drawers. The other day I found him hanging or trying to hang from the window seal in the toy room, he thought it was hilarious. I am so sure he will be giving me an opportunity to learn and grow in the patience and understanding department, oh how I love him though! Happy 9 months little guy!

1st Visit!

We have been crazy busy with trying to get everyone in to for all their check-up, evals, appointments etc. But some of them are firsts we just couldn't miss taking pictures of. Last week Addy went to the Dentist with me, I was first, they did x-rays, a cleaning and then a full exam, Addy watched patiently, when leaving home she had requested to bring a blanket along and I let her as it was cold out and I did rip her from her sleep to go. When it was her turn she hopped up in the chair pointed to her teeth said cheese and went to get down. She was a little sad to know there was more to it then her version of what she had seen happen with Mom, but she really did great, we have an awesome dentist and even better hygienist that both have such a way with kids (it helps our dentist is our stake president and has that whole holy ora thing going for him and that he is a man and she loves men!)
She soaked it all in, to the point we have been playing dentist since. whenever I get in a reclining chair, she throws it back and checks my teeth for me. The good news, no cavities, no concerns for either of us! We are so hoping the kids have Doug's teeth and his ability to avoid cavities only time will tell though! I really was impressed at the denstist is one of my LEAST favorite appointments to make and keep (she is 2 yrs and 9 months in this photo)
