Hustle and Bustle... Or something like that.

This last week has been so busy, we have had something or many somethings going everyday, and some days we haven't even done all the things we wanted to, but we sure have been enjoying the holiday season and all that comes with it!  Here are just a few pictures from some of our many festivties...First picture,  More proof, as if it were needed that my family takes GREAT care of me, here they are making dinner for me!
This next picture is of a diaper cake I (well, Doug helped roll the diapers) made for some friends of ours that are due to have a baby the same time as us (I actually have two friends due the same day as me, just we are only lucky enough to have one of them living here, So Stephanie, if you were here I would have made two, still very fun to have friends expecting at the same time!)  I saw this snowman in a magazine on one of my many trips to the Dr.Office. He turned out quite cute, if I do say so myself. All three of us are to have boys...

The next one is from our Cookie Decorating party. We hosted a little get together for Addy and her friends to do some decorating and coloring for the holidays (it was in place of a birthday party, we will be having a small party with the family on her birthday) But Addy does love the little people, so we put this together. Just a fun little get together, we kept it small only inviting 5 kids over, 1 couldn't make it at the last minute so there were four that came over. It was good fun! Addy LOVED it! I loved that even though it was 5, two year olds or round about that age, it only took me ten minutes to clean up their mess! We will definitely do this again, plus no awkward birthday business, just good down and dirty frosting fun!
Here is our little helper, helping me make candied popcorn for the neighbors. She was in charge of taste testing the product. She did cry when we gave the finished popcorn away, at least the first bag. But, who doesn't need a Christmas helper with that smile!
Have to take time for a bath, Addy is really into bathing other people and items in our house lately, here her stuffed animals are being cleaned, it is so dang ADORABLE, I couldn't help myself but take a picture for your enjoyment... She takes the water cup and dumps a little in her hands, rubs them together to get a good lather, then bathes the object at hand, Poor daddy even gets it in sacrament! LOL

After we decorated the house for Christmas I took Addy around and showed her the things she could play with and the things that were for Moms and Dads only.... Now just because I showed her the toys  she could play with does not mean I showed her how they worked! I held off on showing her that this Winnie the pooh actually talks and rocks and sings in his chair, but the other day I broke down and told her, this was her reaction, (although I will tell you if you come to our house there are three things Addy will show you immediately and one of them is this pooh bear, but don't think you will be touching it, she loves it, and has deemed it hers, it along with a card that Grandpa sent her can be heard throughout the house all day long.)
Daddy getting ready to go caroling with the youth, doesn't he look like good cheer! Wouldn't you like to have him come caroling to you?
Yep still going, this week really has been packed, on top of our normal activities (ie speech and story time) we also have been doing the last of the cleaning, gifting, and preparing for baby. But we had to have everything done by Thurs, because we had friends coming to town for the day (and to stay the night) It was so fun, One of my dearest friends and her family came to hang out with us before they headed to FL for the holiday. Addy and my friend, Janell's kids get along so well. We just love having them all around.
So, more dancing and playing for us, here are Addy and Kady jamming to my Christmas tunes

And every kid needs a cupboard, this is the one cupboard in our kitchen that Addy is aloud to play in, it houses safe kid things, like Tupperware, and her cups, and the drink squishier. Addy loves to climb in there, and apparently it is big enough for a friend!  Gosh we really have just had a busy and fun week full of good times. I am so glad we got all the hustle and bustle done early so we could enjoy the holiday season. Bring on the weekend fun! I'm just keeping my fingers crossed the weather will hold out for our festivities.  Hope you are all having a GREAT SEASON TOO!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! It is a little early for this post, but I think I may have other things going on, when I would normally post it, So it is on my list of things to get done now. I really can't believe Christmas time is here already! I love this time of the year, and my reasons for loving it just keep multiplying! We started a new tradition this year, we are doing a 25 day Study (geared to a two year old , of course) of the ministry and life of Christ. We are learning a lot, And Addy loves her role of putting pieces on the board which when we are done will be a full nativity scene.(pictures maybe to come?) What I like best is focusing on the True meaning of the Season.  Our Savior, Jesus Christ. We have so much to be thankful for, and our love for a kind and loving Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus, just continues to grow. We can't express enough how thankful we are for our family, and the miracles we have seen in our lives. I can't look at Addy and not feel the love and tender mercies of Our Heavenly Father, I have a feeling it will be the same with the next child as well. We are so thankful to be parents and to be blessed with children.  Doug is still working from home, as an independent business owner. Wild Design is doing well, and we really enjoy having Doug around, and his flexible schedule. We still have a few things to learn about self-employment, but we are tackling it as it comes, and just enjoying the journey. Doug is also still serving with the young men's organization in our ward. The young men just love him, and he enjoys getting to work with them. Doug also picked up a regular date night with Addy this year, which they both love. Adelaide has had a very busy year, her favorite things as of now anyways (they change so often) include playing tea party, coloring with markers, and reading in her bed. She loves to lay in her bed with a book and read with her music on. She is also a great little helper, she pretends to vacuum, dust, clean the floors and do laundry,(she does help with some of those actual chores as well) ( I can't imagine what she see's me doing around the house? Where does she get these things from? HAHAHa) She does seem to have a great imagination though, which makes things just fun! She will be two here shortly, but I think it is safe to safe she has matured into two already, if you catch my drift. We are doing speech therapy with her twice a week, she seems to be making some progress, but it is definitely one of those things that takes time. I am glad we got on it when we did. Other then that, she is just an adorable little bundle of joy, she loves to laugh and play with us. And she regularly keeps us giggling. As for me, I love, LOVE, LOVE being a Mom and spend most of my time with Addy at my side. She is a great side kick. I am learning a lot thanks to her and love every minute of it. I am still serving in the Relief Society and doing the ward bulletin. In my spare time I have been trying to finish up old projects and little odds and ends around the house. The last 9 months or so I have been working on getting our next kid baked, which has been a very different experience then the first go around, but we are all so excited to meet him, shortly! I am sure he will be worth every trial we had getting him here. We just feel so blessed this year with all we have been given in nearly every aspect of our lives, we can see the Lord's Love. We hope that each of you have had a wonderful year, and that you too, find the joys of life are flowing over your cups brim.

We wish you all a Very Merry Christmas

and a Very Happy New Year!

Love all three ,soon to be Four, of us!

(the graphic was designed by my friend Christy R, thanks for letting me use your beautiful graphic, I just love it)(also if you didn't catch it, this was our Christmas letter this year, we did not send one out with our Christmas cards, so it is only available here for viewing, don't you feel special now, LOL )
