I thought that I had more September pictures for the blog, I glanced through yesterday and didn't see any but today I found them while looking for something else, isn't that the way it always goes, so this is I guess, September part 2. We made an effort to take the kids camping one more time before the yucky weather hits, we had planned to go to red lodge, but alas Doug had work he needed to do in Sheridan, WY...BLAH not really my choice of a fun camping place, it was suppose to be chilly so we decided to get a cabin, good thing we did it rained on and off the whole weekend, lucky the rain schedule was similar to our kiddos nap schedule so we did get to get out and about a bit. We also got in our campfires, some signing and smores. It was good fun. Above Addy and Jim at our Fancy dinner find, more on that later ...below this was Addy's first time on a bunk bed, she did great, we tried to get her to sleep on the bottom but she wanted to sleep up top, she didn't even fall. Although we did give her strict orders to call for help if she needed down rather then do it herself to which she was very good about doing.
On the grounds where we went to dinner. Doug and I thought it would be fun since we were there to do some exploring, we ended up at the Powder horn for dinner, it was quite lovely. The grounds were just beautiful totally not what you would expect for the town we were in.
Bars, bars, and more bars!
Good job Dad, you get a star for looking at the camera!
This is where we had dinner, the building was quite inspiring, inside and out.
We saw a number of houses like this, too big to fit in my shot, which just really blew me away, I was confused when we were going to Sheridan to design a home for a lady, it is the second one in a couple of months for this area we have had, but they are high end homes, and I just couldn't figure out where they were building them, now I know. Even Sheridan has the Ritz I guess. I personally wouldn't choose to live there, but to each there own, I was impressed more this trip then ever before, although somehow in my mind all I can see is those crummy cold snowy nights and the winters that last forever, yep Sheridan, it was fine for the weekend but I think we can say been there done that, can we please go somewhere else?
We did find one FABULOUS park though I was looking for a historic location and we found the park, yeah I will let Doug look at the map next time, all the same we had a great time at the park, EXCEPT for the above critters, They are ATTACK squirrels not to be confused with cute ones that mind their own business. I am not even joking, Have you seen the Christmas Show with Chevy Chase in it and the tree with the squirrel, I was so paranoid these critters were going to jump on one of us, they were VERY Aggressive. But while the squirrels were off attacking other little ones, we enjoyed the loads of stuff they had to do there.
Jimmy and his turtle.
Both of our kids are very into hanging, to the point of I can't keep them off of things they shouldn't be hanging on so I am trying to find a way to include a bar in our next house so they have a place to hang all they want. This particular bar was too big for Jim he kept slipping, Addy however hung on for a number of shots while we tried to stage it up.
The fire truck was an absolute hit, it really was fun for all of us.
These two are pictures of Addy and Grandma before their first day of Music class. We have been wanting to get Addy into a music class since we found out she had speech issues but RC didn't have one, so we did our own thing, MT however does have a class. Grandma was looking for something for her and Addy to do together, it is a perfect fit. Addy LOVES it and can't get enough. The course also has a slew of information so we have added to our fun, and we all benefit. One more reason it is so nice to have Family nearby. I love that my kids have the opportunity to have a relationship with others in our family and that they are getting to know them. SO FUN!
Speaking of Family, Want to guess who was at our house? Yep our nephew Jason was over for a bit, our kids are a bit young for small cars, but Jason loves them, we rounded up a few that I had, then we made a spot for him to drive them. We played here almost the entire time he was over.
Mac and Cheese aka Yellow Death. Jim is feeding himself more and more these days, He just loves it. I about choked when the Dr. asked me what he was eating and all I could think was well what we eat, YIKES, he really for the most part does eat what we eat, and loves it, We have a little grinder for some of it, but most of the time the only difference between his and mine, is, oh wait there isn't everyone eats off my plate....
A picture of Doug and I as we headed out to go to a Masquerade Ball, I had no notice so we just wore nice dress clothes, but next time if there is a next time I think I will get a gown. It was fun all the same though.
Okay now we are really moving on to October...
