Summer Randoms.... Havin a blast!

There are a number of pictures here, they are just randoms from here and there through out the summer so I will keep the commentary short. We have been trying to enjoy every minute of the summer we can though, indoor and out.... Summer is just too short if you ask me...above Jim's first time getting up on the trampoline by himself, after 10 minutes of him trying to figure out how to get down I finally gave in and assisted below Hang time! they both think the bar is awesome, that is definitely something I am going to talk to our designer about for our next house a spot for the kids to hang.
OT for everyone, we love the hula hoops (don't mind our jammies we do OT stretches throughout the whole day, including first thing in the morning)
Naked tummy sleeper (this was his first good nap, during sleep training, he loves to be on his tummy to my dismay, and I think he likes to be naked as well, he is always trying to take off everything he can)
Sassy Shoes
Story Time
horsin' around
Cement? Really Mom, he wasn't sure at first but now he is a pro, no sensory issues for this one
Tuck, Tuck Tuck (her version of stuck)that is what I could hear Addy yelling as I was coming to her aid in playing on this strange invention we found at a park.
Robby the Robot, this is the first thing Jim pulled himself up on, he loves, LOVES LOVES this toy, it is one I won't be sad to see leave when the kids have out grown it though, VOLUME button that is all I am saying...
Zoom, Zoom I have pulled out a number of Addy's old toys and Jim is just eating them up, well literally he is licking them but in the case I mean enjoying them. Addy started riding this at 10 months, she mastered it recently, Jim is sure he will be mastering it soon, although currently he just rides and squeals with joy.(Jim is 7 months in the photo)
Princess Adelaide, she won while we were playing Princess imagine that (gotta love cheap clearance games, especially those that come with dress up items....
Pool time This is how most of our days are spent, at least for an hour or two The pool on the patio!
Lifeguard
Hmmm Yes we may need a new lifeguard it appears Elmo is drowning, Yikes! I left for two seconds and told her not to get in the pool, I said nothing however of Mickey and Elmo getting in the pool apparently they were dying to go for a swim! She did stay out of the pool though, way to listen sweetheart, Mom will be more specific next time.
Run, Run Run (I originally was taking these pictures to get a shot of Addy's hair, it was in the most beautiful ringlets and just lovely, but I couldn't get a good shot to really see it.Darn Phone Camera!) We just love having a small fenced back yard, it is perfect for the kiddos.
My little babushka, It could be 100 degree's in the house and I am the only one who you wouldn't find wrapped up in a blanket, both our kids love their blankets, no matter the weather, sounds a lot like someone else I know, oh yeah their Dad. Am I the only Mom washing loads of blankets in the summer?

8 months

I just cannot believe how fast the time is going by. This last Sunday our little guy hit eight months! It was a big day for us, we had a lot going on, but we still caught a few pictures of him. Above in part of his Sunday best...
And these two are him hard at play, I am so hoping one of our kids will like to cook and take over for me, a girl can dream right? I am so sad the above one has his lolly (pacifier) in his mouth, this is the closest we have got to capturing his cheezer on camera.
8 things about James at 8  months
*he loves big people food even if it is hard to swallow he so wants what we are eating
*He regularly says Mom, but has also added up to his vocabulary, he says it while going up the stairs, he has to my dismay figured out how to climb them, although it is a work in progress, he gets to stair three or four before being detoured from further progress, one day he may figure out it is him saying up that tips me off he is up to something then maybe he will get further. He also says dada and adda
* He has one tooth, it is barely in but it is there
*When he is tired he gets hyper just like his sister
* He loves toys and plays by himself and with sister very well as long as they each have there own toy.
*He loves Parks and stroller rides, as long as he doesn't have to go down the big slides, they scare him. His favorite toy in the parks are the monkey bars or any bar he can hang on, for short periods of time he can hold himself on them and he LOVES that, he is crazy strong
*His favorite room in the house is the bathroom. He thinks the potty is a fabulous little bucket of water to play in (GROSS) Anytime the bathroom door is open he books it for the toilet, whether it is occupied or not, he will even trying knocking the occupant off so he can play, the boy loves his water, but we generally try to provide other means in which to play in it (the water that is).
*He enjoys exploring his environment and is all over the place pulling himself up on anything and everything, he loves crawling with others around the house, and thinks walking with someones fingers is the best.

He goes by Jim, Jimmy or Jimmers occasionally James and is just so busy, we love it! He keeps the rest of us running. Happy 8 months Little Guy!

Do you want to guess?

I will give you a chance, do you want to guess what we have been up to? hmmm... yep dress up and dress down, that about covers it. Addy has had this overwhelming urge to dance in her dress up clothes, it is so fun, we pop the tunes in, turn them up, she goes and puts on her giddy up and we dance.... This particular face is her, cheese take the picture already face. And when we are not dancing and dressing up we are working on yep potty training. It is not the easiest thing, learning new things in general takes Addy longer then most, and if it involves any kind of motor planning, the tasks have to be repeated, over and over and over, so it will be awhile I am sure before we are done, but one has to start somewhere right?  Here she is sporting her favorite snack frozen yogurt, while learning to pee on the potty in the front room, since sitting in the bathroom for long periods of time is just not exciting ....

wrappin' it up...

I was so close to getting caught up, until I happened upon a few things that I thought were more important, I still have a missing camera, yes I am still holding out hope that it will be found, and my phone pictures, but I am really wrappin it up and getting close to current day blogging! Before we uprooted our lives, went on vacation, moved, etc. we were having a little bit of trouble with Addy and her nap time, it was hit and miss if she would take it or not, even though in my mind she clearly needed one. But we stuck it out insisting that she have nap/personal time everyday, and I am so glad we did, because she has been napping again and for the most part really consistent with it. Which for everyone in our house anyways, we are much nicer and higher functioning if we get the rest we need. She however has decided that mickey and minnie should get the bed and she will take the floor. I don't care what she sleeps on, as long as she sleeps.

And a close up because she is just so don't cute sleeping on her prayer rug and books..
Jimmy got his first haircut! Dad did it, he finally decided Jim could go without the comb over whisp he had going on. This is his before shot...
During, he was so brave, and for the most part sat still
The cuts, ready for his baby book
And After, one handsome boy if I do say so myself. Handsome and happy. Good job dad! (he was 7 months 3 weeks when this happened, he was actually fighting a case of roseola, if you look close you can see, he was feeling better but had the rash,I think that assisted in him not being all over the place as I think he would have been if he was up to par. It had really been a long couple of days before hand trying to get the fever to break though.)
and because we can we did, the kids love to ride in the laundry baskets, even together, although after a bit we thought somebody my lose an eye, so we will be going back to solo riders in the basket, not the hamper, it was fun while it lasted though, they really do just love each other.
